About
Shello! I'm Sabrina, the Finnesota Mermaid, and welcome to the WalleyeGrotto.
I am a small-batch artisan inspired by the beauty of the world around me. With a focus on the qualities of what nature gives me, I love to find beauty in the broken. I also create unique pieces that reflect my love for Puns and the fun side of life.
From intricate beaded jewelry, to the snarky and whimsical mugs, and warm blankets to bundle up in, every item is made with love and care, using only the finest materials, or in made-to-order fashion to be as eco-friendly as I can be.
And who knows? The sky is the limit to what else will be added to the shop in the future, I cannot wait to show you! No matter what, at the Walleye Grotto, we're dedicated to creating treasures that you will enjoy adding to your own grotto, and life, for life.
More about the artist;
Sabrina, who goes by Haunter Geist, is an avid crafter and artist. Learning to make small trinkets and pieces while growing up, she also experimented with bulk crafts during her time as a Girl Scout. Sabrina loved to try out new fads in the crafting world with family and close family friends, and jewelry was one experimental craft that hooked her in. Over the years Sabrina has tried many artistic hobbies finding her select favorites to hone in on.
One of those crafts were Tie blankets thanks to Girl Scouts, along with finding a love for pottery painting during both an after school activity in elementary school, and a troop outing where she was the last to finish painting their piece, and it became a gift for their 4th grade teacher, as she has always loved to gift others her hand made pieces. To this day, she still has the after school project as a treasured part in her Halloween decor.
Later on, in the middle 2000s, mermaiding came into her life and swept her away. Buying her first monofin in 2012, they dreamed of owning a full tail - which came true in March 2020. Now, as the Finnesota mermaid, Sabrina has a YouTube channel, an Instagram, and Bluesky to share her fishy adventures.
Now, after years of testing the waters, and putting the nose to the grindstone, Sabrina hopes to share their love for their crafts with the world as she has with her mermaiding, be it with her hand made jewelry or by designs by her and friends, all while making sure to be as eco-friendly and sustainable as possible.
